Who am I?

Hey there! Melissa here!

The question “who am I” is a complex one. I am many things. I am a wife to a magnificent husband who keeps me laughing and well loved. I’m a mother to two beautiful and joyful children. I’m a therapist who specializes in child abuse and trauma, a licensed supervisor, and a clinical director of an amazing counseling agency. I am a mentor to my staff. I am an avid reader (Harry Potter nerds unite!). I’m a lover of good food (all the carbs), good wine (love me some cab), and good music (Taylor Swift for the win!) I am also a life-long learner and a multi-passionate entrepreneur which is what brought me to you.

In my years as a therapist and supervisor I’ve had the pleasure of working with many wonderful people. Other therapists, first responders, CPS workers, social workers, victim advocates, attorneys, board members, and community leaders. The common thread that I have seen over and over both in my profession and others’ is that working in helping professions leads to burnout for the majority. I understand it, I’ve lived it, and I have left it in the past. My goal is to help you do the same. Let’s bring back the joy of the job you used to love. I can’t wait to walk alongside you and I’m so thankful to be a part of your journey!
